PLAY BAROQUE!

PLAY BAROQUE!  Is a play day for amateur string players interested in learning how to play in Baroque style on modern instruments.

Come with members of the 18th Century Concert Orchestra to
explore the world of 18th century performance practice and
conventions of the period using the music of Telemann, Handel,
Corelli, Vivaldi and their contemporaries.

Discover how to play Baroque music on modern instruments to
reveal the excitement and clarity of 18th century compositions.

Baroque bows are provided for participants to try on this exciting play day.

We can come to your ensemble – you organise time and place, gather together a group of players and we will come to you.

A PLAY BAROQUE! day is usually 2 playing sessions of 3 hrs (including a tea break!) separated by an hour for lunch/tea.
